Last Train

Last Train began as a single swatch pinned above the cutting table at three in the morning. Everything that followed — the drape, the weight, the way a hem should catch the light of a passing taxi — was built outward from that one square of fabric.

The fabric

We work almost exclusively with mulberry silk, crushed velvet and heavyweight satin sourced from two family mills near Como. Each bolt is washed twice before cutting so the finished pieces move the way silk is supposed to: slowly, and a little dangerously.

Cut & construction

Bias cuts, hand-rolled hems and French seams throughout. Every garment is finished by the same pair of hands that started it, and signed on the inside of the left seam.
